One operating layer across the handoffs

In this context, 5PL means orchestration: design the flow, align providers, connect milestones, and keep exceptions visible. The actual coverage depends on the product, lane, cadence, volume, and providers confirmed for the engagement. It does not imply that Baranta owns trucks, warehouses, or regulated operating authority.

What the scope may include

• Flow design. Origin, destination, mode, milestones, responsibilities, consolidation points, storage assumptions, and dependencies.
• Provider coordination. Air, ocean, ground, rail, intermodal, LCL/FCL, or LTL/FTL options evaluated only where the relevant providers and coverage are confirmed.
• Border integration. Logistics and document dependencies aligned with the broker or specialist responsible for the crossing.
• Storage and distribution handoffs. Receiving, inventory, preparation, and delivery steps defined with the provider, location, capacity, and terms accepted for the engagement.
• Status and exceptions. Milestones, open decisions, evidence, and an escalation path that identifies who can resolve each issue.

When it is useful

This model fits operations with multiple providers, borders, modes, or inventory points, and new lanes where the dependencies should be explicit before volume, dates, or service levels are committed.

Service boundary

The proposal distinguishes Baranta coordination from carrier, broker, warehouse, insurance, and other third-party services. Provider identity, coverage, cargo eligibility, capacity, rates, and service levels remain engagement-specific facts.
