Who we are

Baja Labs, 919 Imperial Avenue, Calexico, CA 92231, United States, operates baranta.solutions for the Baranta brand and is responsible for the personal information collected through it. For any privacy question, write to contacto@bajalabs.dev.

This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We only collect the information you give us in the contact and quote forms:

• Identity and contact details: name, email address and, if you include it, phone number.
• Professional details: company and job title.
• Information about your operation: products in general terms, countries, service of interest, urgency, approximate volume, preferred contact method, and the message you write.

When you submit a form we also record the page you sent it from, any campaign parameters in the address, your browser type, and a one-way hash of your IP address that cannot be turned back into the address. We use these to protect the forms against abuse.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information or financial account data. Please do not include it in the text fields, together with passwords, ID documents, or complete files.

How we use it

We use your information to:

1. Respond to your message or quote request.
2. Review the details of your operation and, where needed, ask you for more information.
3. Prepare and send you a service proposal.
4. Follow up on your request until you close it or turn it into a contracted service.
5. Protect the site and its forms against abuse and automated submissions.

We do not use your information for marketing or advertising unrelated to your request. If we ever offer a newsletter or similar communication, we will ask for your consent separately.

Who we share it with

We rely on service providers that process information on our behalf and under our instructions: website hosting, email delivery, bot protection for the forms, and database storage. Some of them are located outside the country you are in, including the United States.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only disclose it to third parties without your consent where the law permits or requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a public authority.

If you later contract a service, the handling of the information needed to provide it, including sharing it with the providers that take part in your operation, is governed by the contract and the notice we give you at that time.

Client portal

This section applies to anyone who requests access to or uses the client portal at portal.baranta.solutions, in addition to what is described above for the site's forms.

What we process in the portal:

• Access request: name, email, phone, company, account type (client, associate or carrier) and the details the registration form asks for that type, such as a tax ID and country.
• Account: your email and the sign-in details managed by our authentication provider. We never see or store your password.
• Organization and profile: legal name, tax ID, country, the people on the account and, depending on the account type, professional credentials (for example, a customs broker license) or details of your trucking operation (permits, insurance, equipment, lanes, border crossings and certifications).
• Requests and messages you exchange with us.
• Documents you upload or we share with you, with their expiry date where it applies. Every file is checked by antivirus software before it can be downloaded.
• Activity records: sign-ins and changes to your account, documents and requests, for security and to keep the history.

Why: to review and approve your access; run your account; handle your requests and operations; receive, review and keep your documents; email you about replies, rejected documents and upcoming expirations; and protect the portal against abuse and malicious files.

Providers: in addition to those above, the portal uses an authentication provider and a file storage service. Some are located outside the United States, including in the European Union.

Retention: we keep your account, requests and documents while you have an active relationship with us and afterwards for as long as the law or the applicable contract requires; then we delete them. You can ask us to close your account at any time using the contact below.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw a consent you gave us. To make a request, email contacto@bajalabs.dev with the subject "Privacy request" and include your name, how we can reach you, what you are asking for, and any detail that helps us find your original request, such as the approximate date and the email address you used.

We verify your identity in a way that is proportionate to the request before we disclose or change any information, and we respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses analytics that do not set cookies or identify visitors; they only show us aggregate visit counts. The forms use a verification service that evaluates technical browser signals to tell people apart from automated submissions.

Retention and security

We keep the information from each request for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then delete it in line with applicable law. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect it against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this notice

We will post any change to this notice on this page with a new version and effective date. Each request keeps the version that was in effect when you sent it.
